Jorge Zalszupin, Pair of “Presidencial” armchairs

Jorge Zalszupin (né en 1922)

Pair of « Presidencial » armchairs
1959 - 1965

Pair of armchairs, in plywood, black epoxy steel and chromed metal. The cushions, re-upholstered as the original, are covered with a tabacco colored buckskin. Emblematic of Zalszupin’s work, these armchairs can be presented with our without their cushions, alternating between a voluptuous and relaxing aspect, and a more sculptural shape when we see the elegant curved jacaranda slats. Both perfectly embody this much sought after Brazilian identity.

With cushions : Height 78 cm (30 3⁄4 in) - Width 125 cm (49 1⁄4 in) - Depth 76,5 cm (30 1⁄4 in).
Without cushions : Height 64 cm (25 1⁄4 in) - Width 97 cm (38 1⁄4 in) - Depth 76,5 cm (30 1⁄4 in).
