Jean-Michel Frank (1895-1941)

Pair of armchairs
circa 1925

This pair of armchairs embodies perfectly the Jean-Michel Frank’s style. These deep and comfortable armchairs, completly covered with fabric, standing on two front pyramidal feet and two back saber-shaped feet. The cuved back is formed by a generous bulge that extends outwards and continues on the rounded armrests. This model is known since 1925. Jean-Michel Frank designs, at this time, the Charles et Marie-Laure de Noailles hôtel Bischoffsheim in Paris. A certificate from the Jean-Michel Frank Committee comes with these armchairs.
