Jacques Quinet (1918-1992)
Pair of table lamps
circa 1960-61
Pair of gilt brass lamps, «Casquette» shaped based on a rectangular base. This shape was very appreciated by Jacques Quinet who created several versions of this model. The important «Cas- quette» which is also the reflector contrasts with the nar- rowness of the base and offers a game of equilibrium. This pair of lamps comes from a special order, circa 1960-61 for a Company located in the South of France. All the furniture pieces were in mahogany and fawn leather, these lamps which were dis- play on the desks higlighted these shades of browns.
