Max Ingrand (1908-1969)
Sun Mirror, model 1657, edition Fontana Arte
Referenced under the model 1657 at Fontana Arte, this mirror is a rare model. The ice frame is cut with a chisel which gives him an irregular and aesthetic border. This luminous mirror is characteristic of the production Fontana Arte, company founded in 1932 by Gio Ponti, whose artistic direction was entrusted in 1954 to Max Ingrand. As usual, Max Ingrand use his creativity so that the glass concentrates, or diffuses the light. The material plays the role of a light filter and allows a variation of intensity. These researches on light lead Max Ingrand to create pure works of a remarkable quality execution, like this mirror.
